As we start to see more and more hair braiders coming into their own in the salon, their styles and techniques are becoming more sophisticated. I’m always excited to see what’s happening in the hair braiding world. At the moment, I’m very interested in the way the new technique can be used to achieve a more natural look.
The new technique, called “Cotton Wrap,” is a hair braiding technique that doesn’t rely on the use of clips, but rather the use of a braided cotton yarn wrapped around the hair and then wrapped onto the head. This is a technique that can be used to create a more natural hairstyle, as well as keeping the natural hair fibers separated by the cotton yarn.
I’ve been working with the team at Aussie hair braider, Nacho G. I think the new technique will be great for curly hair, but it would also be great for straight hair as well.
